Stony Point Rock Quarry provided Soiland Organic Bioswale Mix during the 2013-2014 construction of the Graton Resort and Casino in Rohnert Park, California.
A bioswale is a permanent, shallow landscape depression or channel used to direct filtered stormwater to infiltration areas or engineered containment systems. Bioswales use Low Impact Development (LID) management practices—vegetated swales combine the benefits of organic matter and gravity to physically filter storm water pollutants before they reach streams and natural water resources.
Stony Point Rock Quarry also provided 3-6 inch drain rock for additional catch ponds built around parking structures to capture and filter excess stormwater.
